Privacy Policy

PopupTaffy (“we,” “us”) runs short, pop-up saltwater-taffy fundraisers at popuptaffy.com. Teams and groups set up a fundraiser, sellers share a personal store link, and supporters buy taffy that ships directly to them. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. When you buy taffy: your name, email address, and shipping address — so we can fulfill and ship your order and send you order updates.

When you organize or sell: your name, email address, and account credentials, plus the fundraiser details you provide (team name, goal, dates). A seller’s display name and sales totals appear on their public store page and fundraiser leaderboard.

Automatically: basic usage analytics (via Google Analytics) and error reports (via Sentry, with personal details scrubbed) so we can keep the site fast and working.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe’s secure checkout and never touches our servers. We receive only the order details, your contact and shipping information, and payment status.

We share information only with the service providers that make the store work: Stripe (payments), Shippo/USPS (shipping labels and delivery), Supabase (secure data storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (order and account emails), Google (optional sign-in and analytics), and Sentry (error monitoring).

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with advertisers.

Many sellers are students. Seller accounts for children should be created and managed by a parent, guardian, or the adult fundraiser organizer. Public seller pages show only a display name and sales totals — never a child’s contact information. If you believe a child’s information was submitted to us directly, email us and we’ll remove it.

We keep order and fundraiser records as long as they’re needed to run your fundraiser, handle shipping and refunds, and meet bookkeeping requirements. You can ask us to delete your account or personal information at any time by emailing savannah@thetaffybarrel.com.

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Order-confirmation and shipping emails are transactional; we don’t send marketing email without your consent.

If we make meaningful changes to this policy we’ll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, note it on the site. See also our Terms of Service.
